Turkey's ASELSAN signs electronic weapon systems deal with Terma
Turkey’s defense systems producer ASELSAN on Thursday signed a deal with Denmark's Terma to collaborate on the production of electronic weapon systems for jet fighters, ASELSAN said in a statement.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding designed to create the framework for future collaboration.
The value of the agreement was not disclosed.
The deal includes the transfer of ownership and intellectual property rights for Terma’s F-16 Modular Reconnaissance Pod.
“We look forward to combining Aselsan’s and our core capabilities to provide air forces with proven and reliable solutions,” Steen M. Lynenskjold , senior vice president of Terma, said.
“Collaboration with Terma brings more benefit to our customers who will use the indigenous radar and electronic weapon systems designed and developed by Aselsan for fighters,” Oguz Sener, vice president of ASELSAN said.
